Priority Project Lists
The Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency is seeking public comment on the draft Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 – FY 2016 Transportation Improvement Program. The TIP contains regionally significant roadway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian and aviation projects located within Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon and Wakulla counties that have received state and federal funding.
Additionally, the CRTPA is seeking public comment on the draft FY 2013 – FY 2017 CRTPA Priority Project Lists (PPLs). The PPLs are transportation project lists that identify the agency’s transportation priorities to receive state and federal funding. The lists are annually provided to the Florida Department of Transportation for funding guidance during development of the State Work Program. To view the Draft PPLs, please click here.
The public meeting is scheduled for:
Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M.
Tallahassee Room, Second Floor, Tallahassee City Hall
300 South Adams Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301
The meeting will provide citizens a chance to review the documents and will include a presentation on how the TIP and PPLs relate to the broader the metropolitan transportation planning process.
Written comments may be provided at the meeting. Additionally, comments may be mailed to: CRTPA, 300 S. Adams Street A-19, Tallahassee, FL 32301. Furthermore, citizens may email comments to greg.burke@talgov.com or provide comments at the following link (click here). All comments should be received by Friday, June 10, 2011 and will be provided to the CRTPA Board at the June 20, 2011 CRTPA meeting (scheduled to begin at 1 P.M. in Tallahassee City Commission Chambers). Public comments may also be provided at the June 20 Board meeting.
Both the TIP and PPLs are scheduled to be adopted at the June 20, 2011 CRTPA Board meeting.
