Long
Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) (Amended on September 17, 2007 - see note below) The cornerstone of the transportation planning effort is the long range transportation plan (LRTP). The LRTP provides a long-range analysis of the transportation needs of the CRTPA region though the identification of needed projects as well cost feasible projects. The currently adopted LRTP ("Year 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan") was initiated in 2004. Initial public meetings associated with development of the Year 2030 LRTP were held on June 20-23, 2005 within the CRTPA region. At these meetings, the goals and objectives of the LRTP were discussed and public input related to the transportation issues within the region was solicited. The next round of public meetings associated with LRTP development were held September 26 - 29, 2005 to discuss the DRAFT Needs Plan. The Needs Plan (click here to view) and draft Cost Feasible Plan were discussed at public meetings held November 14 - 17, 2005. A Public Hearing to present the 2030 LRTP was held on December 5, 2005 at 3 PM in Tallahassee City Hall (Commission Chambers). At this meeting, the CRTPA adopted the Year 2030 Cost Feasible Plan (click here to view). An Executive Summary of the Year 2030 LRTP can be viewed by clicking here. The Financial Resources Document that was developed as part of this effort can be viewed by clicking here. Additionally, maps containing projects identified in the Year 2030 LRTP can be viewed by clicking here.* The adopted Year 2030 LRTP is currently being updated ("The Regional Mobility Plan") and is scheduled to be adopted by December 2010.
