Connections 2040 Regional Mobility Plan

The Connections 2040 RMP is the long range transportation plan for the region that addresses road, bike, pedestrian, transit, airport, freight and other transportation opportunities in the four county area (Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Wakulla counties).  The project kicked off in March of 2014 and was adopted in November 2015.

Tallahassee-Leon County Safe Routes to School Study

Project completed in August 2014. 

The Woodville Highway (North) Corridor Study and Project Development and Environment Study 5/2012

Complete. Project limits: Capital Circle, SE to Paul Russell Road.  The Design Phase is scheduled to begin in Spring 2014.  The Preliminary Engineering Report was completed in July 2013 and may be viewed on the project page.

The Monroe Street Access Management and Lake Ella Implementation Study 3/2013

This study was initiated by the CRTPA in early 2012 and completed in March 2013.

The project is scheduled to be constructed in fall of 2016.                          

Monroe Street Resurfacing Project 2018 Monroe Street (John Knox Road to Thomasville Road) is scheduled to be resurfaced in 2018.  The CRTPA and its transportation partners have been coordinating with the FDOT to address opportunities for the incorporation of identified improvements as part of this project.  Comments related to the FDOT's 30% design plans have been provided to the FDOT.
6th Avenue Pedestrian Path Feasibility Study The Feasibility Study is completed and the project is under design.  The right-of-way phase is scheduled for 2014 with construction in 2016.
The Regional Transit Study 3/15/2010 Project was accepted by the CRTPA Board on March 15, 2010.  The RTS was initiated to develop a long-term vision for transit within the capital region.
Tennessee Street/US 90 Traffic Mobility and Alternatives Study 2/2014 This FDOT Study is scheduled to be presented to the CRTPA Board at its January 12, 2015 meeting.
North Monroe Street Design and Safety Study 9/20/2010 was accepted by the CRTPA Board on September 20, 2010.  The study was developed by Florida State University Department of Urban and Regional Planning Master's students in the summer of 2010 and provided student recommendations for the corridor from Thomasville Road to Tharpe Street.     
Capital City to the Sea Trails 4/14/14

This project was kicked off at the May 20, 2013 CRTPA meeting.  Since then, there have been three workshops conducted (three in Leon County and three in Wakulla County).  The Capital City to the Sea Trails Master Plan was adopted by the CRTPA on April 14, 2014.

Capital City to the Sea Trails - Coastal Trail 3/1/2014 - 6/30/2015

This project is the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for the first project funded for Capital City to the Sea Trails.  The limits for this project are from Lighthouse Road to Surf Road.  The concept plan for this effort can be found at:

Transportation Alternatives Program Every two (2) years, the CRTPA solicits projects from the region to receive federal funding that meet the eligibility of the federal Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP).  The CRTPA most recently solicited such projects in 2016.  Eligible projects are placed on the agency's TAP Priority Project List for federal funding consideration.  The CRTPA anticipates initiating the solicitation of new projects towards the end of 2017.
